The Greenham Racing Team

Jerry Greenham

Jerry Greenham is truly one of the “pioneers” in the world of professional drag racing. He started in the sport in 1965 at the first NHRA Spring Nationals in Bristol, Tennessee with a 1964 Ford 427 High Riser powered Galaxy.

He won a national class championship five times, three at the US Nationals in Indianapolis, one at the Sports Nationals in Bowling Green, KY. and one at the Summer Nationals in Englishtown, NJ. Jerry also set two national class records.

He raced Fords almost exclusively in stock and super stock, except in 1982 when he raced a Buick for Dick Baker’s AAA Acoustics team, and in 1986-1989 Oldsmobile provided him with a car to race in Super Gas.

The 1974 season would see Jerry team up with crew chief and partner George Rachford. They raced a 1969 Fairlane Cobra Jet which they raced for over 30 years.

The strong combination of Jerry and George would race the NHRA and IHRA national events east of the Mississippi River through the 1990 season. George passed away in 2022, but Jerry continues to race and recently finished building a 1970 Mustang that’s ready for a new sponsor!

Greenham Racing is a mature and dedicated team who gives their marketing partners a 100% effort, and will always have a beautiful and competitive car at all events.
